John started with Noyce, Salmon & D’Aquino first as an associate and then became a Partner in 1969. He developed an early interest in Family Law and general litigation. This includes both Criminal and Civil Litigation in the Local, District and Supreme Courts.

John has been active as a councillor with the Law Society of New South Wales since 2001, and is the president of the Riverina Law Society. The Law Society is the governing body for solicitors in NSW. The Riverina Law Society is a regional group under the head society covering solicitors in the Riverina from Deniliquin to West Wyalong and all towns in between. His political activities have been based upon promoting country interests in the city and ensuring that country legal practice is not neglected by city interests.
